Professional Growth Opportunities
Beginnings Credit Union prioritizes an inclusive, supportive work environment that empowers employees with opportunities and resources for professional growth and long-term career advancement. Our supervisors, in partnership with the Learning & Development department, are dedicated to coaching and mentoring each employee according to their individual needs and career goals.
Beginnings’ employee development programs and initiatives include:
- Beginnings Supervisor Program: A dynamic program for supervisors that provides ongoing learning opportunities and resources to build and hone competencies that enable them to support and grow their employees’ careers in addition to their own. The program focuses on key leadership competencies such as coaching and feedback, recognition and appreciation, emotional intelligence, active listening, team building, and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Beginnings University Program: (Returning soon). A cross-departmental experience that helps employees broaden their knowledge of operations, strengthen collaboration, and explore potential career paths within the organization.
- Job Posting Program: Offers employees the opportunity to pursue internal career advancement by applying for open positions across the organization. While posting for a position does not offer guarantees, Beginnings is proud of our history of promoting from within.
- Online Learning Programs: A variety of online learning programs with the opportunity to earn incentives for completion.
- Tuition Reimbursement Program: Beginnings supports employees who wish to continue their education by providing tuition reimbursement for pre-approved, job-related courses that meet the criteria outlined in the Credit Union’s Tuition Reimbursement Policy.
- Cross-Training and Job Shadowing: Can be coordinated for those who are proficient in their current position and are seeking to learn more about other roles within the Credit Union.
Together, these programs reflect Beginnings Credit Union’s commitment to continuous learning, leadership development, and creating meaningful career pathways for our employees.
